Do good share what you have because God is pleased

God promises to bless those who are generous to the poor. God also promises repayment for our generosity. When we give, the Bible says we are storing up treasures in heaven. Giving back brings most people joy. It can be said that is has helped people to fight off all unhealthy attachments that are linked to worldly things, and to engage more deeply in God’s priorities. The saying is true, “Wherever your treasure is, there your heart will be also” (Matthew 6:21). By investing in God’s kingdom my heart aligns with God’s values and I experience His spiritual blessings.

Giving is an expression of God’s love 1 John 3:17

But if anyone has the world’s goods and sees his brother in need, yet closes his heart against him, how does God’s Love abide in him? Give to support the work of the church Romans 12:13 Contribute to the needs of the saints and seek to show hospitality.

Let me close with this word of scripture Matthew 6:1-4 Beware of practicing your righteousness before other people in order to be seen by them, for then you will have no reward from your Father who is in heaven. Thus, when you give to the needy, sound no trumpet before you, as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and in the streets, that they may be praised by others. Truly, I say to you, they have received their reward.But when you give to the needy, do not let your left hand know what your right hand is doing, so that your giving may be in secret. And your Father who sees in secret will reward you.
